DIGITAL DOCUMENT and PHOTOGRAPHY ARCHIVING Protecting valuable documents, architectural plans, research and photos that are of utmost importance to a company's future should be of highest priority. With the destruction seen recently from Hurricane Katrina and 9/11, many companies are asking if they would be ready. Are your irreplaceable infrastructure documents and plans stored on a shelf where they could be lost forever in a catastrophic event or are they stored on an archival DVD in a safe room?
Our large format, high resolution, high output scanners can archive your company's valuable assets without loss of quality for a very reasonable cost, especially in comparison to the cost of replacing lost documents. We utilize a Kodak IQSMART3 scanner with an actual 5,500 dpi resolution and a maximum image density of 4.3. Why don't we use a drum scanner? They require your sensitive photos and documents to be curled and taped to the drum which can contribute to cracking and further damage. The IQSMART3 scanner equals the drum scanner in quality and increases productivity while reducing risk of impairment.
We archive the scanned documents on Kodak Preservation disks that have a claimed life span of 300 years for CDs and 100 years for DVDs. One copy of your disk can be kept in our fireproof safe or you can store it in you own preferred safe away from your originals. Is your company concerned about displaying original documents such as diplomas, acclaims or historical photographs for fear of fading or damage to the originals? We can reproduce your valued corporate archives for display while the originals are kept in a controlled temperature, light and humidity environment for safe keeping.
The largest photographs and artwork can be reproduced without loss of quality with our Phase One digital scan back. It produces a 103 Mb file in comparison to a typical 8 megapixel digital camera which produces a 24 Mb file and because it is a scanning back, the quality is higher for each pixel.
